I (F37) am meeting my partner’s (M39) mum (F63) for the first time soon. What is an appropriate gift to give? I was thinking posh soap or flowers, but is something else more appropriate? Or ideas on something else?
I definitely want to bring a gift. I know British people often don’t gift in these situations, but I’d feel more comfortable bringing something small. In my country you’d bring a packet of coffee and flowers but I realise uk might not have an etiquette for this, so I’m looking for ideas.
