Moving into a new house and about to get a bunch of things out of storage. My last house had hundreds of clothes moths living in the carpets and I am worried about bringing them into this brand new house when I bring my own things in. The new house has no carpet – only hard wood and laminate flooring.
Apart from moth traps and freezing my woollen items I wonder if there are any other ways to stop them from becoming a problem? I am convinced that I will encounter a few eggs/larvae when I pull everything out of storage.
Any advice? Thanks in advance!

We stopped getting clothes moths after I did an amateur fumigation of the house for carpet beetles. Just used some spray from Amazon, got rid of 90% of the beetles and 100% of the moths.
Get some pheromone traps, they work wonders. Then loads of sandalwood blocks to deter them in future once you’ve got rid.
With your current clothes you got wash above 50°C for washable natural fabrics.
Or you can freeze for at least 72 hours, Bag items airtight first so condensation doesn’t dampen the fibers.
Also if you spot anything more after you can always go with dry cleaning
Indorex spray. Follow the instructions on the can. Be blissfully unbothered by any creature with more than 5 legs for the next 12 months. I’ve worked somewhere where moth and weevil infestations weren’t uncommon, but once the shelves had been given a coating of that stuff the only ones we ever saw were dead as a doornail.
