Planning a major garden overhaul this spring (ripping out old decking, concrete slabs, overgrown shrubs, the lot) and trying to work out the most cost-effective way to dispose of everything.
Option A: Hire a skip for a week or two. Seen a few companies online like Reliable Skip and others, prices seem to range wildly from £150 to £400+ depending on size.
Option B: Make multiple trips to the local recycling centre with a hired van.
The thing is, I don't drive anything bigger than a normal car, so Option B would mean hiring a van plus fuel plus my entire weekend gone.
I'm in the West Midlands if that makes any difference to pricing/options.
What have others done for similar projects? Is a skip actually worth it or am I better off just bagging everything up and doing several car trips over a few weeks?
