Hello, we'll be in England (Cotswolds region) for the next few weeks, also for Halloween. We're often in England every year, even in the fall, but never actually for Halloween. The children (under 8 years old) would love to go trick-or-treating, as we did that back home (in Germany). For example, we have a rule that we only ring the doorbell where there are decorations.

Since we're only guests, we don't want to upset anyone. What are your rules?

I've often seen flyers posted with Halloween party events for children (things like pumpkin carving, etc. We always visit pumpkin patches anyway). Since we're not there yet, I'd also appreciate any tips on where some might be taking place in the region.

I'm a big autumn and Halloween fan, so feel free to recommend other things that are suitable for children.

But also a secret tip from the region about what to see. We love getting to know the culture and people and live there during the weeks we're there.
