There was a thread the other day asking if people have a tumble dryer, I do now and asked the question in the title but got no replied as it was buried at the bottom.

I live in a small flat, no room for tumble dryer. In the summer I just hang stuff outside and that’s fine and stuff gets dry fast, but obviously it’s getting old now.

Not feasible really to dry stuff on radiators due to where they are. Only place I have room to put the clothes horse is in the kitchen (or I carry it into garden when weather allows). Obviously can be quite annoying because clothes can take long time to dry on it and having this get in the way in the kitchen and I’ll have to move it to living room while I cook then move back etc.

I was thinking of getting an electric one, I could do a wash in the evening, hang the clothes, and leave it overnight in the kitchen with the window open and maybe they’d be dry in 12 hours? Therefore we wouldn’t have to have the big clothes horse taking up precious real estate during the day time at all.

I just don’t have much confidence they’d make a huge amount of difference due to only a tiny part of the clothes actually being in contact with the heated part.

I’ve seen people suggest getting a dehumidifier as well and have seen people say it’s better to just get one of these. But maybe a heated clothes horse + dehumidifier is the best option? If anyone has a similar set up for drying clothes and can recommend me some products please share! Thanks.
