I (33 Straight Male in LA) made these "I think you are cute… If you think I'm cute, lets connect." as a way to engage with women in public. As we all know that dating apps suck so I decided to basically abandon them and make my move in person more. I've seen multiple videos of women making these cards and giving it out to guys and I've also seen in person where women have given them out at social events so I decided to give it a try.

The card basically has the cute message and then my contact info (insta and phone) with some facts about me like my profession, my star signs, age, ethnicity etc but nothing to like my salary or height.

Last week I decided to test them out and to my surprise, a few did respond to me. I was at a singles mixer and I saw a few girls here and there and I interacted with them. Some I directly approached before handing the card, some I gave the card and they approached me. At the end one girl did try to follow/connect with me on insta with the card I gave her.

I also was at a coffee shop once where I had to quickly leave and saw this one girl writing in her journal so I decided to go up to her, compliment her and gave her the card. No response but not surprised.

Ladies, is this weird or not? Because I've been reading mixed reviews. I don't mind engaging in conversations and making the move in person but there are instances where you find someone cute and you literally have a few minutes to talk (sometimes shorter). If you were on a bus or train or coffee shop or bar or beach, wherever…would you be weirded out if you got these cards?

I figured if you don't shoot your shot, you miss your chance and opportunity. Life is too short to look back and regret it.
