Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice from those who may have experience with command or IG processes.

I recently discovered that my husband (active duty, stationed at McGuire) has been using dating apps to look for other relationships, even stating he wants to marry someone else, while we are still legally married. We have never lived together, and he has never acted as a husband toward me. At the same time, he is receiving BAH with dependents, even though he has never supported me or used it for our household. I have documentation of his dating activity, his LES showing BAH, and my disability records. I am also getting counseling through Military OneSource because this situation has affected me emotionally. We don't have kids btw.

I am considering reporting this to his Commander and/or the IG. My question is:

  • Have any of you seen cases where misconduct like this (adultery + BAH misuse) actually led to punishment or discharge?
  • What is the best way to present my packet so it gets taken seriously?

I am not asking for financial support — I just want accountability for what he’s done while still legally married to me.

Any guidance or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
