Hi, this is my first time having an emersion heater so apologies if the answers are obvious. I'm aware these are expensive to run however because we have a dishwasher that heats its own water the only thing we are using this huge tank for is having a quick hot shower in the morning so I'm wondering if someone can explain them to me so I know how to use it more efficiently.
Right now, we turn both those switches on the wall on for about half an hour in the evening- anything more than this is very very expensive (we tried leaving it on as suggested online but this tripled the electric bill)
there is no timer I can see which most the examples I saw online have, some people also had stickers on their switches stating either 12 hours or 24 hours, we don't have that, there is 'control settings' displayed on a sticker where the wires connect but I dont think I can interact with those settings anywhere.
we had no idea the boiler would be so expensive when we picked this place as it's our first time renting so hoping I can get some insight into how better to run it
