If you talk to older Americans about this they will likely express how dramatically the food has improved since they were young. I didn’t think about until I started traveling and eating out more but food here has gotten better than most places in the world. I’ve also had this experience where I’ll be confessing that I think the food served at a [name of country] restaurant in the states is better than the food I had in that country and the person I’m confiding in will agree. So much wealth, immigration and competition makes this sort of inevitable but it’s kind of goes under the radar. It seems like the US is quickly becoming a culinary juggernaut. Is this just me?
