I (male) don't have any sexual experience yet, but I've heard a multiple times that the physical aspect of sex isn't really that much pleasurable, and the real pleasure comes from being emotionally connected with your partner.
But if that's the case, then why would people have casual sex with someone, especially when they barely even know their partner, like hookups?
I might be misunderstanding what people mean by "emotional connection" here, but for me that means being attracted to someone romantically.
I don't want to be ignorant in this topic, so can someone explain this to me please? Both from men and women standpoint if possible.
