Which of the United States is known for locally grown crops, fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy that are hopefully not as expensive as they'd have to be, were they shipped from further away?
I'm looking for a state that is very nature-oriented, but not necesarily in a tough, National Parks and all way, but rather everyday way. One that is a breadbasket without being an eponym of industrialised food production, basically.
