So, I (18F) met this guy (24M) about five weeks ago at a bar. We hit it off right away and ended up hooking up that same night.
After that first time, we barely talked — just a few casual texts here and there. But after the second time we hooked up (when he stayed over until morning), it’s been almost nonstop texting. Not in an overbearing way, but definitely a shift from before.
He’s been checking in regularly — asking how my week’s going, telling me about his job, asking about my college classes. It’s not late-night “u up?” stuff; it feels more thoughtful than I expected for something that started casually.
This is my first experience with a casual hookup, so I don’t know if this is typical or if it means he’s interested in something more. I like him and wouldn’t mind if it turned into something, but I also don’t want to assume too much or make things awkward.
Has anyone else been in a similar spot? How do you tell if someone wants more than casual when their behavior suddenly changes like this?
TL;DR: Met a 24M at a bar 5 weeks ago and hooked up that same night. After the first time we barely spoke, but after the second (when he stayed over), we’ve been texting nonstop. I (18F) like him but don’t know if this means he wants more than casual.
