So the official number is that something like 60% of couples meet online these days. That means that more than half of all couples met on a dating app (they could of course have met on another online platform like reddit or discord, but let's be honest, how many couples do you know IRL who met on reddit? I know literally zero). But looking into the gender ratio on dating apps, it doesn't really add up. Tinder is 75% male and only 25% female, while Bumble is 40% female and 60% male. Hinge is 36% female and 64% male. Just to make things easier, let's assume that most dating apps are 40% women and 60% men. So if the majority of couples are meeting on dating apps, does that just mean that more women are choosing to remain single than men?
