Me and my gf started playing this MMO she is a big fan of. I was making my character and we talked about having matching names as a cute couple thing but i misintrepreted her as not being that interested in doing that so i made my characters name something else which sounded cool. After i told her she sort of seemed kinda bumed out but i told myself i was reading too much into her reaction and that she was just tired cause it was late but now that im thinking back on what happened i feel shitty. We played for a good bit already and cant change our names so im stuck with what i picked.
I feel like an inconsiderate jerk and idk if or how to address this with her and appoligize.
