Last half day in Morocco today, flying to Valencia this afternoon for a short stopover en route to Palermo.
Marrakech is as crowded as ever in the medina. So many foreign tourists, restaurants, places to stay, tourist shops… very different to almost everywhere else in the country!
Still an interesting city though, away from all of that.
People on cooking related subs are already planning Halloween parties! Who needs two months to plan a party? Unless it’s a wedding or something.
I am done with my veganing, and now having tea with milk. It’s so delicious 😭
I met a former colleague yesterday and we went for a nice walk. He was my favourite colleague. Everyone else is so bland. Anyhow, here are some facts about Germans that apply to every single German, and you should take at face value without questioning.
* Germans are so cuddly. They love hugs and they also give the best hugs. Whenever you meet someone you haven’t seen in a while, you get a nice big squeeze. If you like hugs, make a German friend.
* They also like walking. Like, 8 km walk while chatting about Mahler? No problemo. While on your little stroll, you’ll meet many other Germans old and young, who also love walking. They will greet you and make small talk. It’s fucking adorable.
* Germans may not be easy to make friends with (though I seem to have no problems), but if you made a German friend, congratulations! You get to keep him as long as you like.
* You might have heard that they’re very private, but once you get to know them, they’re a bit prone to oversharing. But it is okay, it means you can do the same if you wish. Gossip is much less a thing here than in other countries I have lived in (Belgium 😬)
That’s it! Here’s your guide to understanding Germans. Apply it liberally to every German you see.
