TLDR: Brother is out of town, should we still invite SIL to family birthday dinner?
We’ve never really hung out with our SIL without my brother there, so no precedent really. But figure it would still be considerate to extend an invite.
Want to be wary of putting pressure on her to attend, since they always do if my brother is here. But then if we don’t, I also don’t want it to be that awkward “they didn’t even invite me” down the road. Event is later this week, very informal at my parents’ house.
Thoughts?
