Men over 35 with bad stress: has your hair gone grey from stress or do you still have nice dark hair ?

  1. Salt and pepper started at age 23, I have slightly more now but not a lot. I have some friends who are very grey

  2. I had really dark hair at a young age, started to gray around 10. After 35 the salt started to match the dark volume mixed with some thinning. My stress level has been at an 11/10 since I was 18 so its all I know

  3. I’ve had CPTSD since my very shitty childhood, did almost a decade in the US military in a high stress job, struggled in college after the military, and just simply can’t remember a stress free day once in my life. I SOMEHOW have a full head of thick, dark brown, wavy, beautiful hair. I have no answers for this

  4. I barely have grey hair. And none on my beard.

TBF it’s genetics, and I have been for a year mostly stress free. Mostly.

  5. Very few grays in my hair, a few more in my beard but it’s still mostly brown. I did get shingles recently at age 38, the dr. said it was likely due to stress 🫠

  6. Going grey around the sideburns like Dracula. I love it and welcome it. Not so much the stress though.

  7. I noticed my first gray quite literally the day we came home from the hospital with our boy a little over 8 years ago (I was 32 then). Have since gotten several more but I’m pretty lucky that a) they’re not overly abundant yet, and b) they kinda blend in with my natural hair color.

  8. As a man just under 35, my hair is the last bastion. It is the final stand my body will make against the havoc stress has wreaked on every front.

My hair will outlast my nervous system at this point but at what cost?

  9. 35 this year. I see some grays here and there but nothing concerning yet.

I’ve been wearing hats while running. I am a bit worried about hat usage over time.

  10. I had salt and pepper that started in early thirties, but nothing major.

I look at photos of me at 38 compared to photos of me at 41 and the difference in grey hair is quite jarring. Just so happens that I was under immense stress for those 3 years.

I feel like the rate has slowed now that I have less stress.

  11. Almost completely gray and almost gone.

Started when I went through a horrible divorce, I literally went grey pretty much overnight.

  12. 37 year old, I still have dark brown hair down to my shoulders. There’s a few strands of silver from my temples. If I grow my beard out a bit, you’ll see a sprinkle.

Diagnosed CPTSD from childhood, 6 years in army, I’ve been homeless, etc. Tbf I never met my bio dad, so who knows what’s coming, but for now I’m enjoying my hair while I can.

  13. My hair was never dark but it’s still there. It’s starting to grey, but the greys hide among the blind hairs. It’s only noticable on my face, if I don’t shave.

  14. Very high anxiety dude here. Still 98% my usual dark brown color, same full head of hair and great hairline here. Just a hint of gray that I’ve had since my early 20s but you won’t usually see it unless I’m in bright sunlight. I have no idea how it’s not snow white by now 😅
