So I’ve been thinking of a new kind of social app, but more like a social experiment than a regular app.

The idea: you open the app, select your current mood, and it instantly connects you on live video chat with someone in the opposite mood.

If you’re sad, you get matched with someone cheerful or playful.

If you’re anxious, you get connected with someone calm and supportive.

If you’re already happy, you might meet someone struggling who could really use your positive vibe.

Basically it’s an emotional balance exchange through real-time video calls. No endless scrolling, no feeds—just direct human connection.

The goal is to help people with social anxiety, insecurity, or loneliness, while also giving happier people a chance to “uplift” others.

But my question is:
👉 Would people actually want to use this, or would it just feel too awkward?
👉 Could this genuinely help people or would trolls ruin it?

I’d love honest feedback. Do you think a live opposite mood connector has potential, or would it flop?
