So, life has chucked one of its curveballs at me in the form of my 8-year relationship ending very abruptly.

This leaves me, a 29 y.o. guy, EU citizen, questioning whether I want to stay where I am – especially given that my flat contract is going to end in 6 months.

In trying to figure out my next step, I started thinking about making an equally serious move as my ex-fiancé did, and flip my life upside down – but this time, on my terms. That's why I'm trying to figure out what cool non-9-to-5 jobs are out there that people usually don't go for because of how inconvenient they tend to be.

Some of you might have seen all the adds convincing you to go on an oil rig in the Pacific Ocean or work in the mines of Australia – that's cool but doesn't sound like a smart move health-wise. I'm also not really sure this would be my crowd.

Instead, I would love something along the lines of: restoring old churches on the isles off the coast of Ireland, being a chef in a remote Iceland hotel resort, herding reindeer in Lapland – I'm sure you know what I mean.

I speak English, German, and Polish, have experience in corporate: IT, tech, and education, love animals, art, cooking, music, and the outdoors. I don't mind rain and cold.

Where could I go, what could I do?
