I (20M) recently planned a date with a girl (20F) that I have a bit of history with. We originally matched the first time I ever downloaded tinder, we were both 18 at the time, and she was also the first person I actually met irl from a dating app. We met twice, both times started off with her driving around with her friends, picking me up, driving around a bit more, then dropping her friends off before we drove around alone for a bit longer. She was the first person I’d tried to date since high school and I honestly had no idea what I was doing at the time, also I had been living on college campus and didn’t have my own vehicle to drive around, hence her picking me up both times. Things naturally fizzled out, mostly because I lacked any experience or confidence to know how to advance things past small talk.
Cut to today, we match on tinder and we did a bit of back and forth before I tell her I’d love to catch up and ask if she’s free for drinks the weekend. She responds by saying she was just about to ask me the same thing and asks me if Friday would work. I gave her my number and since it was getting late I figured I’d text her back tomorrow and figure out the details. Since we last spoke I have my own apartment, car, started working out, and I have a lot more confidence when it comes to dating. I’m not fully sure how to approach this, I feel like it’s mostly going to be like a redo where we actually both are a bit more mature. Any advice?
