For context, I've always been horrible with texting people. In middle school it didn't matter because none of us really had phones up until 8th grade and we would use discord on our computers. In high school, I developed lots of social anxiety and couldn't make new friends or maintain existing friendships. I've gotten to be okay-ish at in person conversations, especially if I'm not the one who initiates but my online communication is still awful. Now that I am in college, my roommate has been throwing parties because he is very social, which I don't mind too much because it's a good oppurtunity for me to reset. So we both went to a few parties and he hosted one last night; I got drunk yesterday, and made friends with a girl and got her number. She texted herself from my phone and gave me her phone to save my contact. The problem is that I have no idea how to start a conversation or what I would do after. I don't come across as super stiff and formal. I've wasted pretty much my entire day stressing about it and got nowhere. When I was talking to heralded we about our pets. I don't have many photos of my dog on my phone rn, because it's new and I didn't transfer any of the data and went back to my parents house for the long weekend. So, I was thinking of just sending her some photos of my dog, but then I have no idea how to follow up. I'm kinda rambling and this might be overly detailed but you can see the anxiety. Any tips?
