  1. I’ve been replaying some flash games from my childhood (I think the golden age of those is the late 2000s to early 2010s). Phone games seem to have taken over that niche). It’s pretty nostalgic, but I wonder how I never beat some of those and got stuck.

  2. I can’t believe our basketball team actually won against Serbia, oh my god. What an entertaining game it was too. This was by far the biggest win in the so far rather unremarkable history of Finnish basketball, really exceptional. Granted, Bogdanovic was injured and didn’t play, Serbia wasn’t at full strength. But still their team is superior to ours, and of course they have Nikola Jokic, best player in the world right now and in my opinion the best European player ever.

    I’m very happy that Finland go through, but I predict the run will end sooner rather than later. I kinda wish Serbia would have won, because they actually have a chance to win it all and it would have been fun to see Jokic against France and Germany. 

    Next game for our team will be against the winner of France v. Georgia, so odds are it’s against France. Maybe another miracle will happen.

  3. I’m doing a long, very indirect walk today… from Covent Garden to Canary Wharf.Hopefully!

    Lots of planned places to see on the way, and several interesting places to eat, plus a couple of pubs to stop in.

  4. What is the oldest bottle of liquor you have at home? And I don’t mean any fancy 20 year old single malt whiskeys, but what is that weird bottle that you’ve once gotten as a gift from some aunt or your boss or something, for which you thanked them with a smile and have never touched since then?

    We did some cleaning up today and decided to open some kind of apricot cream liquor and it’s … really not good. Not that it’s gone off, we just generally don’t care for this kind of stuff.
    Maybe I’ll try it as a sauce for an ice cream sundae, or in a hot chocolate…
