Why are stabbings seen to be bigger of a problem as it is on a mass scale?

A quick internet search would find that there was 55 mass shootings in the UK since 1994, whereas since the same year only 30 mass stabbings.

This means there was 25 more mass shootings than there was mass stabbings 31 years.
