My (M24) ex boyfriend (M21) and I are friends and have been since before and after our relationship. We haven’t don’t anything romantic or sexual for two years, but still see each other and hang out from time to time. We communicate on Snapchat everyday as well. Sometimes the friendship has been rocky, but for the majority it’s been good.
We hung out a couple days ago for a few hours. We were our typical selves and nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Today, I was on Grindr and message an account I didn’t know was his. I have a profile picture, but it doesn’t show my face. He replied and also sent nudes. At this point I sent nudes back and he responded with: “Hey (My Name)” – I asked if it was him and he said it was.
From there, he snapped me and I snapped back saying: “DAMN.”
His response: “Why damn?” (He was smirking the tiniest bit. Obviously, he knew what I was referring to.)
Me: “Damn as in my heart just about sank into my ASS. But in a good way.”
Him: “Why do you feel that way?”
Me: “I got excited. It was more of a feeling of ‘Oh ma gawd bruh that’s so fucking hot.’”
Him: “That’s good lol.”
And at this point, that was the last snap exchanged as he’s 99.9% asleep right now. What makes me ponder this is that in the past, he wouldn’t have been the guy to send me nudes. And if he would have, my guess, is that he certainly wouldn’t go on or even acknowledge that he did. So my thinking right now is that he’s flirting, possibly interested? Admiring my own junk? No clue. If he wouldn’t have wanted me seeing anything or knowing it was him, wouldn’t it make sense that he wouldn’t have said my name in the Grindr chat? Or if after he found out it was me (if he didn’t know it was me to start with) wouldn’t it make sense for him to stop all conversations and block my account on Grindr if he didn’t want me to know or see what he sent? And again, I’m not sure the likelihood of him knowing whether or not it was me on the other end.
Any advice? Hopefully this all made sense!
TL;DR: My ex sent me nudes on Grindr. I sent mine back.
