I've was very casually talking to someone for a few months. Things were flirty/friendly for a long time but eventually fizzled out, and we ended up seeing other people. We reconnected recently and went on a really nice date, had good conversation, and he said he'd love to see me again. Afterwards though, I felt him switch up on me. He'd leave me on read for days and made excuses for not planning a second date. Eventually, he texted me saying he met someone else and wants to see where it goes with her. Nbd, but I was pretty disappointed.
Fast forward a month and I see that he's liked me on a dating app. After a few days of ignoring it, he texts me, clearly trying to rekindle things and lets me know it didn't work out with the other girl. I'm feeling kind of insulted that 1) I was his second choice and 2) that he thinks he can just come back to me whenever he wants like I'm some kind of backup option. I do still like him, but I'm not sure how to feel about this- am I making too big a deal out of it?
