I talk slowly, and I've noticed this seems to bother others. I talk slow because I process information slowly.

Think of the scene from Zootopia where the rabbit cop tries to talk to the sloth…yeah, I can be like that.

People either avoid conversating with me, or they nod their heads fast and kinda go "uh huh uh huh" to speed me up or they have a pained look on their face. It's really embarrassing for me, but I can't help being a slow thinker. I'm not smart.

I also am slow to grasp jokes and am not a funny person. This has really bothered my coworkers. It's caused people to avoid me, ignore me, or act like I'm not there.

Or in my college classes, when professors sometimes ask me questions, they don't wait for me to respond…or another classmate will jump in before I can and then everybody moves on without me being able to join in. It kind of hurts.
