My boyfriend and I recently moved abroad, and we’re about to see one of his old friends again soon. I’ve never really liked her, she’s somewhat of a pick-me girl and I’m bothered the way she acts towards my boyfriend.
Either way, it is what it is and nothing I can do about it, but since we moved abroad she’s been hinting that she wants to visit us (i.e., stay with us), and I’m almost certain she’ll ask me about it when we see her.
My boyfriend knows how I feel so he has been vague towards her about it. I’m worried I will say yes out of social pressure when she asks about it/hint towards it.
I’m always just kind to her and I feel like I can’t just say no directly, as it will become obvious I don’t like her and as far as I’m aware, she doesn’t know I dislike her. I also don’t want to come across as jeleous or controlling.
Any advice on how I can avoid saying neither yes or no, if she asks about it?
