I'm currently in 24M a cycle of breaking up and getting back together with someone 19F, and I need help understanding what this actually is.

Logically, we're incompatible. We have major conflicts and break up because of them. But the feelings never fade for either of us. We can't find a replacement for each other, and we always end up communicating again with the same intense energy as before.

This has me questioning everything.

What are the actual, concrete differences between a destined soulmate connection and an unhealthy trauma bond?

* If you can't let go of someone, is that a sign of a deep, real connection or a toxic addiction?

* Why does no one else measure up, even when the relationship is dysfunctional?

* For those who have experienced this, how did you finally figure out what it was?

* How did you break the cycle?

I'm looking for practical advice and perspectives to help me see this clearly. Thanks for any help.

TL; DR: Stuck in an on-again, off-again relationship with intense feelings that won't die, even after breakups. Need help understanding if this is a sign of a true soulmate connection or just a toxic trauma bond and how to tell the difference.
