okay so im 17 and just started my senior year of highschool. ive been working at a small local movie theater for a year now and it's a good job if you look at it objectively.
i work minimum wage but the job isn't hard and there's alot of downtime. my bosses are very flexible and nice (also they are getting on my nerves alot more). the coworkers have gotten worse. however it's boring and im always miserable, feeling like im wasting my time.
i just finished working as a sleepaway camp counselor for 7 weeks straight, which was the greatest experience of my life and i want to do something more like that, with new people.
im looking for a new job right now, either at a park or an afterschool program for kids. i need to quit my job and am planning to tell my boss this week. im really scared. i know he's going to be really hurt and it's going to be so awkward. how do i even approach this?
edit: it's a local movie theater so it's a more tight knit community than regal or something
