Had this happen to me where I fell hard for a girl I worked with. Thinking what me and her had was special, as cliche as that sounds.
Come to find out she was “well acquainted” with most of the coworkers. Girls and guys alike. Shits painful as hell especially when you genuinely liked them.
After all that I learned 2. things. 1. Never shit where you eat. 2. Really get to know the person you’re dealing with before feelings get involved, ask people that may know them about how they are. Damn near background checking and researching at this point. Common sense shit but easy to ignore.
Hearing other coworkers talk about someone you had strong feelings for in crazy ways really fucks you up. I’d rather be cold and closed off than to let myself go through that again.
