When i met the person i wanted to marry i had 2 children one on the way, one born in 2015, another born in 2016 and last one in 2018 , we were married in 2021. I am F-30 and my S.O is F-32. During my pregnancy my s.o talked about legally adopting the children, it never came up again and top this day my soon to be ex has not taken financial responsabilty, employed never got them insurance, everything is my name and financially on me. i have never given guarenship or turned over care for them to my S. O i also have never had my parental rights terminated. The children have alway lived with me. Now were divorcing due to her sleeping with the house keeper, in the house we have together. I put my s.o out she came back and she came back wioth the housekeeper and took my kids during the night and took 2 of the 3 and i haven't seen or spoken to them in 90 days. I filed kidnapping, charges that night but didn't know where they were. and i have messages saying she isnt returning them because she has rights to the kids…. ? due to us being married and now recently received a divorce complaint and she wants custody!!! how do i navigate thru this can someone get children that you were only in the life for a short time, and never adopted, and no kidnaps them and withholds them from me./ how is this okay
