I’m turning twenty soon and lately it’s been hitting me how much time I’ve spent alone. I see people my age with strong friend groups, going out, making memories, and I feel like I’m standing on the sidelines of my own life.

I don’t want to wake up at 25 or 30 and regret not living more, not building real friendships, not having stories to tell. The thing is, I genuinely want to put myself out there more, but I don’t know where to start.

How do you actually go about making friends in your 20s, especially when you feel like you’re already behind socially? Are there habits, mindsets, or practical steps that helped you find your people?

I don’t want to keep watching life pass me by. I want to start living it.
