Hi all ! Mentioning outright I'm not from the UK, and custom in my country would be to shut my face and not mention it. My manager was supposed to be away for a couple of days, turns out it'll be a couple of weeks. We're fully remote and I've never actually met them, neither have we been working together for long.

That being said it's obvious it was a person close to them, and it was quite sudden. I want to be a good human being and offer kind thoughts, support, make sure they're well surrounded.

Have no idea how to do that in a way that would be professionnal, and am afraid my intentions might be misinterpreted.

What are the codes, what's something I can do beyond an email or chat message (would that even be a reasonable idea) to do the right thing ?
