So me and my ex broke up 4 months ago, it was going fine until we slept together at a festival shortly after the breakup. He told me to get out of his tent in the morning and said please don't tell anyone that we slept together because I don't want anyone to lose respect for me. (I think he meant for going back on his word) but none the less a very insulting thing to say. We haven't spoken since.
Now 4 months later we have a mutual friend hosting a birthday party. I've debated not going but I don't feel like I should have to miss it because of him. The other option is to talk to him and tell him how it made me feel before hand or (probably a worse idea) at the party.
Any tips on how to navigate this would be appreciated 🙂
