After years of being single and dating, I (31F) finally found a guy who seems great, on paper. He is very consistent and clear he wants to see me and plans activities.

It's been around 8 dates now, and I just don't feel a spark. It's pleasant to see him, but I'm not necessarily super excited about it afterwards. Sometimes it feels like the conversation is not flowing and it's hard to get it going, even though we do have some things in common.

I know that a 'spark' is questionable to chase, and the consistency might feel boring after previous chaotic experiences, but how do I know if it is that or if we are just not compatible? I feel like by now I should slowly start having some feelings towards him, or wanting to spend more time with him, but it's just not there.

I really want this to work out, but I'm not sure at what point do I call it and say that I've given it a fair try?
