(21M) So I started talking to this girl a few weeks ago. Things have been going really well and our first date is this weekend. She's nice, seems to be actually interested in me (she made the first move if you can believe it), and she makes a genuine effort to talk to me.
On paper, she sounds like everything I've been asking for, but I don't feel the way I thought I would. She's great, I like her, but I don't feel "head-over-heels" if that makes sense. It makes me feel almost guilty because it feels like there's a slight imbalance in how we feel about each other. But I'm also relatively new to this so maybe I just don't know what it's supposed to feel like. She's also the only girl that's really shown this much interest in me, and I think I'm afraid to lose that.
I want to see where things go and if it turns into something more, but I also don't want her to feel lead on if it doesn't work out. Is it normal to let feelings develop over time?
