How often do y’all actually eat a full sized English breakfast?

  1. I don’t think I’ve had a full cooked breakfast in 4/5years. I worked in a cafe that served them and I think I got sick of cooking/serving them everyday

  2. Rarely. But when I do I would be fairly happy if it looked like this, although those are some pretty big portions.

  3. That size? Never. My heart would explode.

Half that amount, maybe once every 6 months or so.

  4. Hardly ever. If I’m staying at a hotel or B&B, possibly on the first morning. But thereafter, I’m done and don’t want another.

Also – that’s one hell of a breakfast portion. Even when I was fat and greedy I doubt I’d have eaten close to that much. I’d be looking at a fraction of that now, and I’d probably be full up for the rest of the day!

  5. > y’all

    Are you a cowboy?

Technically never, because I don’t like mushrooms, black pudding, or bacon really. If I made that for myself, I’d be most likely to do sausage, beans, egg, tomato, and maybe hash browns.

  6. I eat a cooked breakfast 2 or 3 times a year but generally just containing bacon and black pudding. That dish looks enough for 3 people.

  7. I’ve never had one and probably never will. I hate eating in the morning and often times I actually feel a bit sick when people order them

  8. As much as I want that. I would be full halfway through and probably die from a heart attack.

Proper full English? When I can be arsed to cook it all and then have to deal with the mess afterwards. Probably once every few months.

Out? I will never order a full English out unless I know how the bacon is going to be cooked. I could request it, but I like my crispy bacon, and my nice charred sausages, with great eggs. So I would rather pay the price of the ingredients and get 2 fry-ups than go out and get one. But I’m weird like that.

  9. If I’m staying in a hotel for work, every morning. Otherwise never, too much faff.

  10. Probably about every couple of months, but usually at lunch time and as the main meal for the whole day. That’s not a full size English breakfast in the picture though, it’s at least twice as much as I would usually have.

I would probably have 2 sausages, 2 bacon, black pudding, 2 hash browns, beans, mushrooms, maybe toast. I don’t like eggs.

  11. I dont think Ive ever eaten a meal as big as that O.O thats two days worth of food right there

A proper full english, to me, is two of each ‘thing’ – two slices of toast, two eggs, two sauages/slices of bacon, and so on. Except beans, they’re gross

  12. This is not a full-size English breakfast. This is about four full-sized English breakfasts on a serving platter.

  13. That’s not a full sized English breakfast. That’s an American sized English breakfast.

  14. I don’t eat a brekkie as big as that. Probably have a regular fry up once every 6-8 weeks.

  15. Basically never. Even in hotels, I pick and choose. And that’s way too much. It’s like four full Englishes.

  16. That’s like 4 portions lad. Gonna give yourself a heart attack with portion sizes like that

  17. This looks like a full English breakfast challenge, massive plate.

Does look good though, especially the bacon…

  18. The photo has been taken from a Facebook post from The Irish Post, credited to Ben Hesketh via “the fry up police” from 8 years ago……

  19. This is not an English breakfast. This is what an American thinks is an English breakfast. Also, kindly fuck off with your “y’all” bollocks. Over here it’s “youse” or GTFO.
