We have been together for almost a year now but we have known each other for about a year and a half.
Now that we have gotten more and more serious as time moves on he has opened up about his mental health which is great and an awesome sign as we move forward. He has panic disorder and OCD (actually diagnosed by a psychiatrist and is on medication for both) and I don’t really know much about either of those things except OCD isn’t just cleaning.
He confessed to trying to hide his panic attacks and compulsions from me so I ‘didn’t think he was crazy’ which I don’t. I told him that there is no need to hide those things from me and that I’m here for him.
So a few weeks passed and he started to have a panic attack in front of me. I held him and he got down in the floor, he said feeling the floor helps him, I offered him some water but I don’t know what else I can do to help him through his panic attacks. He told me that he usually has two a day and I just want to be prepared.
How do I help him through his panic disorder and OCD as he struggles?
