I’m 30F, my husband is 31M, and we’ve been married almost 5 years with a daughter.

Before we married, I discovered he messaged his ex twice, including once on our wedding day. He apologized and asked for another chance, which I gave. Since then, life has been “fine,” but I feel a persistent lack of support and affection.

I help him financially. I do all household chores alone, yet he never helps, compliments me, or takes me on dates unless I insist. I’ve never received a single flower from him. He frequently blames me for small things, and sometimes I feel unworthy of love. Seeing friends in attentive, loving relationships makes me ache.

I’m looking for advice on:
• How can I effectively communicate my needs for affection and support so he understands and responds positively?
• What practical steps can I take to encourage my husband to actively show love and appreciation?
• How can I maintain my emotional well-being while dealing with these challenges in marriage?
