I feel that whenever I disagree with a group, there is an atmosphere of tension in the air. This makes me anxious and even a little paralyzed. I have been in situations where, after giving my opinion, the group fell silent or the conversation became awkward. How do you deal with this? Is this just a consequence of giving an strong opinion? How can I overcome my fear of creating tension? This happens especially when I'm contradicting a whole group or when I have to call out someone. It's not just fear of conflit. Am I just hypervigilant?
