They say it “takes a village to raise a child”; how comfortable are you with actually correcting/guiding children in your community who are not your own?

Whether other kids you know (neighbors, friends' kids, kids from church or other social groups), or even unsupervised kids you encounter that you don't know at all?

Why or why not, and in what circumstances? And how does this differ from the expectations in the community you were raised in?
