How do you handle situations where you are a passenger in a car and the driver has road rage?

If the person operating the vehicle does things that make me feel unsafe, I would ask the driver to adjust their driving to keep us safe or to pull over and allow me to either leave the vehicle or take over the driving.
If they are creating a dangerous situation and refusing to stop the vehicle so that I could leave the situation safely, I would call the cops and alert them to my situation if possible.
I’m not interested in dying in an automobile accident because someone can’t manage their emotions properly.
Wish I was anywhere else
actually was in a serious incident with my best friend, she was upset while driving after we had gotten into a really bad fight, although I felt also upset at the time I tried to be as calm as possible, but when we finally stopped I told her I was not going to go into her car if she is like this ever again.
Yikes my ex bf did this often. I had to submit to his rage long enough to get home and safe, on one occasion it was bad enough he was swerving and braking on the extreme side, I matched his rage against him and he ended up pulling over and breaking a bunch of things until he cooled off. Get out of abusive situations as fast and safe as possible.
Close my eyes and pray 🙏🏻
You call the cops
Everyone has such proper answers I was gonna say as the passenger it’s my responsibility to hold the middle finger out the window😂
It depends on the person. I’ve either kept quiet and vowed never to be a passenger in their vehicle again or I’ve asked them to let me drive because they’re scaring me.
My ex of 4 years had road rage issues (we got into some twice). First one ended in violence, but was considered self defense (it completely traumatized me to the point of not wanting to do my road test). Second one was not violent, more verbal. The other party pressed charges and it was a whole issue of getting a lawyer (very expensive) and going to court (time consuming and boring, nothing really happens in there).
If someone has road rage issues RED FLAG. It does not get better and if anything they should seek professional help because being aggressive, putting your life in danger and traumatizing you is not worth it.
