My partner and I moved here from ireland to move in with our friend’s sister temporarily. We are lodgers in a shared house (with a weirdly strict contract) but our live in landlord (the sister) has become extremely manipulative and difficult. We have to move out by November, but we have no guarantor and our current landlord would definitely give a bad reference.
We’re thinking of moving temporarily to another share where we could get a positive reference, save more money for the likely large deposit (is it 3 or 6 months?) and then rent for our own place for a few years, as we’re both autistic and have never had our own space.
Has anyone done something similar? What should I do in this situation?
