Is the drinking culture in your country as extreme as the stereotypes say it is?

Examples would be that Germany and Ireland are stereotyped as drunks that drink mugs of beer while Nordic and Eastern European countries are known for vodka. Mediterraneans are known for wine and being snobbish about it.
