Very new to the UK, so having a bit of trouble working out what's worth it in terms of rental prices.

I've been renting a room for the last two months right on the river at Wandsworth for 1000 pound not including bills. It's a very small and very tight double room in a small flat. The flat is around 20 years old. Sharing with one other dude who is my landlord.

Just wondering, is this price reasonable for such a small room? Looking online there are rooms that are much bigger and come with an ensuite for a couple hundred pound more, are near the river but not on it.

So im just trying to gauge, is being on the river and zone 2 reasonable to pay a high price for a tiny room or am I being ripped off and should look elsewhere at the end of my 6 month contract?

Just any general thoughts and opinions about rent vs. location vs. quality of rental would be greatly appreciated, as the variation in London seems to be massive and difficult to get my head around. Thank you for your help.
