Hello! I have some questions re exchanging EU drivers licence to UK / GB one.

For context:
Dutch licence, expired almost 2 years ago (so haven’t driven any cars since it expired dont worry). The Dutch Gov doesn’t allow renewal for a Dutch licence when you’re resident abroad, so I have to get a UK one.

The reason I haven’t renewed yet is I had to do a bunch of travel for work and it’s super unclear whether I do need to include my passport when getting the UK licence.

My questions:
1. Can I still renew my EU licence even though it’s expired by almost 2 years?

  1. Do I have to send my passport if my licence is expired or is the photo with a signature from like a colleague enough?

  2. Do I need to include my ‘settled status share code’?

  3. Where does one get a ‘cheque’ from to pay for the licence? Or can you just pay it at the post office?

I find it very risky to include my passport so any advice would be much appreciated 🙏🏻
