Just curious if anyone else has had this experience. Lately I’ve bought some things that aren’t regular purchases (Some DIY stuff, some Kitchen Appliances, some new clothes etc)

Now I’m of a generation were I always went online for these purchases because they’ve always been cheaper and as much as I’d love to support bricks and mortar businesses, I just can’t due to having to scrimp and save.

Recently however, having compared shopping baskets, I’m getting way way cheaper deals from the likes of B&M, HomeBargins and others, like by significant margins.

One example was that I needed a steamer, some pre workout powder, a pot gloss, painting stuff and new socks.

The cheapest basket on Amazon came to about £99 + shipping, while a single B&M trip had it at £65.

Has anyone else noticed that the high street is competing with Amazon and the likes? Especially if you don’t have Amazon Prime etc?
