Just in the middle of selling my house in my home town. Im in my mid 30s, single and no kids. I’m based in South Wales, but mainly in Oxfordshire and that area for my job, as there’s not a great deal of construction work in the Welsh valleys.
My question, Is it worth buying another house up there, away from my family or is it better to stay closer to family, which would mean I’d still be having to travel and stay away/lodge for work?
I know it’s a lot more expensive up that way to buy a home than south Wales. But then there’s more choice of work up that way.
Anyone been in a similar situation where they thought it would be better to buy in another area far from family and friends to be in a better position for their career?
