For years I’ve had this stuck in my head:

“a ring of white unweathered skin, that was everything”

16 year old me sat in English lessons wasn’t even arsed about the poem. For some reason that line has always stuck with me, no idea why.

Cut to me in my 40’s, married with kids, it makes sense – have any lines from poems stuck with you for any reason?
