Graduated last year with a computer science degree and now working in a graduate scheme. I did all the right things (internships, work experience, got the best grades) and have a good salary. However i can't help but wonder if I made a mistake not picking a more stable career like in healthcare. I chose CS in 2019 before covid hit, i feel like my decision might have been different even a year later.

I worry that my future career will always be unstable, with layoffs and automation etc. My current role is in cloud/devops and I'll rotate into a new team to gain different skills, but really I've always wanted to work in healthcare as a software engineer but never realised how difficult it is to break into specific fields. I am in a good place right now but still feel very insecure and stressed about the future
